Rental Policies

Here are some things you will want to keep in mind before and during rentals at Handy Andy.

 

  • Local ID Required
  • Closed Sundays - We Do Charge Rent Over Sunday
  • All Equipment Must Be Returned Clean

 

 

  • Deposit Is Required on All Rentals
  • Two Forms of ID may be Required
  • Reservations that are not picked up without prior cancellation may incur a No Show Fee. This fee can be up to 100% of the estimated rental rate.

  • Deposit Must Be In Hand At Time of Rental. We Can Not Accept Credit Cards Over The Phone For Payments.

 

 

  • Deposit Can Be Either Credit or Debit Card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover)
  • Cash Deposit Accepted Upon Approval.
  • No Cash Deposit Accepted for First Time Renters.

  • $20 Minimum Deposit For Tools
  • $150 Minimum Deposit For Trucks
  • $250 Minimum Deposit For Dump Trucks
  • $300 Minimum Deposit For 5yd Dump Trucks
  • $150 Minimum Deposit For Trucks
  • $250 Minimum Deposit For Dump Trucks
  • $300 Minimum Deposit For 5yd Dump Trucks

Truck Rental Policies

  • All trucks must be returned to the renting station.
  • We rent trucks for the Greater Seattle area only (local).
  • Local is defined as less than 50 miles from the store location.
  • No trucks are allowed east of the Cascades.
  • Trucks are due back by the time and date specified on the contract.
  • Overtime charges can be as high as $20 per half hour.
  • All authorized drivers must be 21 or older and carry a valid driver's license.
  • Per Washington State law, all drivers must have personal insurance.
  • All drivers must carry proof of insurance.
  • We do not offer liability insurance.
  • We offer a collision damage waiver that covers the rental truck only (in the event of an accident involving another vehicle).
  • The collision damage waiver is not liability insurance.
  • The customer is liable for all damage to the rental truck if it strikes overhead or stationary objects.
  • All traffic violations are the responsibility of the renter.
  • All tolls are the responsibility of the renter.
  • Mileage readings are taken from the factory-installed odometer.
  • Mileage rates do not include gasoline.
  • Trucks are full of fuel upon pickup and must be returned full of fuel.
  • A fuel receipt is required upon return.
  • The fuel receipt must show the gallons of gas (not just a prepay receipt).
  • Trucks returned without a fuel receipt or with a prepay receipt will be charged a $10 minimum service fee plus any additional fuel needed.
  • All trucks and equipment must be returned clean. Cleaning fees may be added if not returned clean.
  • Trucks shall not be used in parades or to carry persons outside of the passenger compartment.
